Lent is a six week spiritual journey which offers us opportunities to become closer to God and one another. During Lent we prepare our hearts, souls, and minds to celebrate the greatest act of love in all of history – the dying of Christ and His rising to New Life.
Lent is a time to fast from certain things and to feast on others. This reflection reminds us that we should eliminate what we do not need in our lives so that we may more fully appreciate what we do need. This Lent we are encouraged to take deliberate steps to unite our sacrifices with the sacrifice of Christ, asking ourselves if our sacrifices are going to challenge us to live more ‘Christ-like’. We will strive to be “living kindness” in our thoughts and our actions.
During the simple, spiritual days of Lent we will focus on activities that will observe the three disciplines of Lent. Students will be guided through prayer and works of charity to journey to a joyous Easter with kind and pure hearts.

PAJAMA DAY!
As we have entered Advent and the Season of Giving, our entire Junior Division has decided to have students participate in PAJAMA DAY on Friday, December 13th! So what do they have to do? One way to give to others during Advent is by taking time to donate canned goods to the Daily Bread Food Bank. Similar to our Phillipines Relief donations, every little bit counts.
If students would like to participate in Pajama Day, we ask that they bring in 1-2 canned good donations as our way to give back to those who need it the most.
